About Reflection Big Band

Reflection Big Band is a band that plays in the Charlotte/Monroe, North Carolina area.  The Band began in 1984 as a community band, sponsored by the Union County Arts Council and quickly evolved into a Glenn Miller type big band. Today, the Band continues to perform with a current membership of about 15 instrumental and vocal musicians. We are a volunteer organization and perform regularly in the Monroe and Charlotte, North Carolina areas at local events and private functions such as community events, wedding receptions, dance parties, corporate events, and reunions. Reflection Big Band is available for functions from one to 3 hours.  We can offer your event traditional big band classics such as In The Mood, String of Pearls, Chattanooga Choo-Choo and some more recent numbers like Shake Rattle and Roll, Under the Boardwalk and Band Stand Boogie. We are always looking for potential band members to join our group, and would love to have you join us. No try-outs, just come and play with us at a rehearsal and see what we are about.  We are currently looking for sax and clarinet players, but all big band instruments are welcome — see a band member for more details
